15.01.2022 This antique double ended spindled chase lounge has had the frame rebuilt before being painted and rubbed back. The seat has been traditionally re-upholstered with all new springs and a hand stitched front edge. The sofa has been covered in a 2cm Navy Ticking fabric from Ian Mankin.

11.01.2022 Before and after antique Iron Back chair re-upholstered in Jaco Spruce from Jim Dickens Fabrics. With no timber frame in the back of the chair to staple or tack to, the cover had to be pinned and hand stitched into place. Including frame repairs I spent over 23 hours on this restriction. I would also like to point out, if you look closely at the arms of the chair in the before photos, you will notice they are a different Height. This is because the bend in the iron frame is completely different on each arm. I had to re-pad the arms to make them as close to the same as possible. I used some salvaged horse hair to build up the arm on the right hand side over 150mm. The arm on the left side has only 20mm of padding on top.

07.01.2022 OMG, Robert Langham Upholstery has exceeded my expectations with our reupholstered chair! We got this from a throw out night in Canberra around 2000. It had deteriorated to a poor specimen after our dog Lilly chewed its legs......

05.01.2022 Recently having been poorly #recovered this wing chair was in need of some TLC. I had to carefully removing the cover that had to be reused. I also had to strip out the previous cover and a calico cover from underneath. My client had enough fabric left over so I was able to cut and pattern match a new seat cushion top and border, the bottom of the seat cushion I was able to cut from the seat cover. To have the same pattern on the arms l used the seat cushion covers. To match ...the pattern on the wings I used one of the old arm covers and a piece from the out side back cover. I used #zepelfabrics Bolshoi #velvet on the out side of the back and arms. The front legs had also been badly damaged and needed to be repaired.
