25.01.2022 Are you there for your mates or colleagues? Trust your gut. When you see something or hear something that doesn't seem right, start a simple conversation. Ask: * Are you ok? * How you travelling? * How's your job (or job search) going?... * What's been going on? * What's happening? Your goal is to get them to open up to you and talk. But your next job is to really listen. As recruiters in 2020, we are tuned in to people's day-to-day struggles with work and their finances. We hear it all. Part of our skillset is to sniff out whether a person is a good fit for a certain role. This includes a candidate's mental fitness. We are happy to talk with you about any issues you may be having. After all, we are here to Uplift our clients and candidates. See more

25.01.2022 This week we are going to explore the concept of mindfulness and how it can help you if you're looking for a new job or wanting to excel in your current one. But what is mindfulness? Mindfulness is the quality of being able to stay with the present moment on purpose and without judgment. A mindfulness practice is an exercise that helps one to cultivate this quality of attention as Caroline Contillo said.

24.01.2022 We've been talking about our core values over the past week. But today, we want you to read our blog post and find why our guiding principles will change your recruiting experience whether you are a candidate or a client. https://upliftrecruitment.com.au/why-our-core-values-will-/

23.01.2022 You can feel when someone you know needs help. Asking whether they are ok is a start, but be sure to follow up with them to see how they are doing. At Uplift Recruitment, we are big on personalized follow-up. We call every candidate to see how each interview went. We check-in with people after they have been placed to make sure they are happy with their new role. We follow up to make sure clients are happy with their new employees. The point is nothing stays the same. Our emotions and feelings change with the weather so what was good today might not be so great tomorrow. If you know someone going through a tough time, try to stay in touch. Knowing that someone cares can be the difference.

20.01.2022 Our third core value is Transparency. We always explain all information to our clients and present all options to job seekers. We also quality check our own performance with regards to candidate experience. Expect that we will: - Explain all info to clients and candidates let them make a well informed decision,... - Present all options to candidates, - Only give roles that match candidates goals and experience, - Quality check the candidate experience, - Explain to candidates the positives, but also any red flags regarding any roles/companies.

17.01.2022 A while back we covered #ruokday and we thought we should share these questions from the UnderCover Recruiter... If an employee or a colleague just doesn't seem right, do something. A small gesture like buying them a coffee can open up communication lines when they need them most. https://theundercoverrecruiter.com/ask-employees-ok/

17.01.2022 Uplift Recruitment is a start-up, boutique agency that lives by its values: Honesty, Integrity, and Transparency. We choose these values because we want to be known for putting the human element back into recruitment. The truth is we want to be known for our empathy and compassion as much as our reputation for matching the right candidate with the right role. What do our core values mean for you? If you are a candidate, our values mean you can expect to be treated as a reason...able human being, always receive full disclosure of information, and be understood and placed in a role based on your needs, not ours. If you are a client, our values are a guiding light that shines over every interaction, every conversation, and everything we do at Uplift Recruitment. Our values allow us to forge strong relationships based on our commitment to staying human. We really shine when we are able to genuinely connect with candidates and clients that share our values.

14.01.2022 At Uplift Recruitment, we are all about setting goals and creating systems to get there. Sometimes the smallest step forward can pull us out of a rut and propel us towards success. @ruokday recommends calmly talking to your colleague or friend who is feeling off and asking what the next step for them might be. You can offer your help including assisting them in finding the right person to talk to next, whether that is a family member, HR person, doctor, or therapist. The bottom line is action is the only way out. Too many of us sit at home and dwell on our shortcomings or things that happened in the past when we should get moving, actually running, away from those thoughts towards a better future.

09.01.2022 Last Thursday was #ruokday and we thought it's time to talk about something. This year has been hard on everyone but especially taxing on those with mental health issues. We all know someone who seems down or just not quite themselves these days. We've helped countless candidates navigate these stressful times and have noticed a dire need to pay attention to the underlying mood of someone we are working with. Being hyper-aware of changes in personality and the signs of me...ntal issues can make a serious difference. That's why, this week we're going to leave you with a quick reminder of how to use the steps create by @ruokday for helping someone you're concerned about at work or in your personal life. 1. Read our blog post about how our guiding principles will change your recruiting experience whether your a candidate or a client. https://upliftrecruitment.com.au/why-our-core-values-will-/

08.01.2022 HONESTY, our first core value, runs through every interaction we have. We are committed to understanding and over-delivering rather than just trying to sign a candidate on or book a client with incorrect information. WE promise to: - Set realistic expectations for candidates and clients,... - Underpromise and overdeliver rather than the other way around, - Provide real, tangible advice based on your needs, not ours, - Give honest feedback to help the you or your company improve, even if it's not necessarily what you want to hear it is our duty.

06.01.2022 Since COVID-19 affected the jobs of millions of Australians, we've stepped up in any way we can to help job candidates. One massive new policy we've implemented is to call back any unsuccessful candidate seeking feedback on their CV. That means that even if you don't get the job, you still get our help. We're known for sticking with candidates through the thick and thin until they've been placed. ... That's the Uplift difference.

How to Deconstruct a Job Posting... https://upliftrecruitment.com.au/deconstructing-a-job-post/ If you really want to ace your interviews and land the job of your dreams, you must pay critical attention to the job posting. Every job description contains a roadmap to follow to one destination: getting hired for that role. If you read the listing thoroughly and use what says to shape the story you pitch about yourself to the hiring manager, you'll be that much a...head of the other guy who doesn't understand the role or follow the directions correctly.
