Lockdown has been testing, leaving us feeling a little lost and well out of normal routine. Take a moment to reflect on your exercise/eating regime over the last few weeks... Now, take the time to pre-plan your exercise this week What days you are going to exercise, where you are going to exercise, what time are you going to exercise, and if you are going to exercise with someone Next, write down your dinners for the week the same way you did for exercise, so you don’t fall into poor food choices when leaving the decision of what to eat until the last minute. If you’ve been lacking motivation and fallen off the ‘home workout’ bandwagon, now is the perfect time to get moving again, get your body primed and ready to hit the weights when gyms re-open, and to start working towards whatever your goals might be. TRY THIS FULL BODY BURNER TO KICK OFF THE WEEKEND ... Low body AMRAP 12 mins A- Pulse squats (no lock out) x20 + MAX isometric hold on last rep. B- lateral lunges (constant tension, chest up) x10 each side C- single leg arabesque x10 each side D- frog pumps x20 Upper body EMOM 12 mins - 4 exercises | 3 rounds A- Push ups (3 seconds down, 1 second up) x10 B- Lying back extensions (hands behind head) x15 C- Tricep dips (3 seconds down, 1 second up) x10 D- Overhead claps (shoulder blades back, nice and fast!) x30 Full body conditioning: FOR TIME! 4 rounds- reps: 20-15-10-5 A- 1 rep= 1x Burpees into high knee run x4 (2 each leg) B- Commandos (each arm) C- Mountain climbers (each leg) D- Hip bridge E- Butterfly Sit ups Give it a go and let us know how you went in the comments below
