'A million reasons to Wander out Yonder' will provide ten thousand $100 vouchers to members of the public to use on tours and experiences across WA. The Gascoyne Food Festival is being held in conjunction with the FREE Star Gazing Event. 10.01.2022 Shine a Light on regional road safety. Please shine a light when driving on country roads. Turn your headlights on to improve your car’s visibility during daylight hours. #NRSW #Drivesos #Savinglivestogether... Fatalities and serious injuries on regional roads continue to be over-represented in WA crash statistics with around 60% of all deaths occurring on country roads. To raise awareness of the Shine a Light theme and to improve safety when travelling on country roads for work or on holidays, motorists around the state are encouraged to switch on their headlights, making themselves more visible to other road users, even in daylight hours. Last year, 85 lives were lost on regional roads in WA.
