11.01.2022 This year we stepped aside from writing formal reports because no one can better tell what was happening than participants themselves. Incredibly well-written report, make sure to read it all! Rob Savage: "Soft. That’s what I was telling myself. I needed to stop exaggerating the pain and get on with the job. The self-pep talk sadly didn’t work. After an eternity I made it our of the gully onto the 4WD track, where the real climbing begins. After zig-zagging a small 50m section I finally succumbed to the exhaustion an fell over on the edge of the track. I don’t think I blacked out, but in that moment most things become blurry. I remember dry reaching a lot, which explains the pain in my stomach today." http://uppermurraychallenge.com.au//102-umc-19-by-rob-sava

08.01.2022 Let us introduce you a younger brother of Upper Murray Challenge - East Gippsland Adventure Challenge, the second leg of Adventure Cup Series. 2019 will be the third edition of this event and it is gaining its momentum with more and more participants getting into it. The course is proved itself of being more achievable by less experienced racers but a lot of fun for the pointy end athletes. The winning time in 2018 was 3:16:17, James Pretto raced head to head with Tim Boote... while Bern Dornom took an early lead in the women's category and was simply unbeatable. The race starts with 26 km mountain bike leg, not as hilly as Upper Murray Challenge but more technical and flowing with some exciting dedicated single track sections. The second leg is a 16 km run leg- mixture of pure off-road, paths and minor bitumen sections, achievable for non-runners and advantageous for runners. The final leg is a lake paddle, the route is tide-dependant and it takes participants for a scenic course via entrance where the waters of Gippsland Lakes system join the Southern Ocean. The race is open for Solo, AR Duo teams (both team members stay together for the entire event and kayaks are supplied), Relay teams and single leg racers. The race HQ is in Lakes Entrance township- popular tourist destination with plenty of non-racing activities, cafes, accommodation, ocean beaches suitable for the whole family. Another bonus for hardcore racers is a Kids events hold straight after the finish of Multisport, where your child can shine as well. One more bonus is O-Duathlon race on Sunday with a run-ride-run navigation based course. Get in touch if you have got any questions and we hope, you will make it there, it is so much fun.
