14.01.2022 Last Friday the UYSC Year 11 VCAL Personal Development Class (PDS), organised an event to plant an Orchard. Due to the Year 12s missing out on many events, it was decided that this year level would be a major part of the planting. The VCAL class organised gazebos, washing stations, memorial stakes, tools, watering cans and dug several holes to get the planting underway. In total 48 orchard trees were planted including apples, plums, lemons, oranges, pomegranates and two large fig trees. At the end of the day all the Year 7 Support Groups came down to plant the remaining trees. A huge thank you to Cam Rayner and all involved in creating a productive Orchard for the school, to be enjoyed by all for many years!

09.01.2022 Geting into the Christmas Spirit! The UYSC Year 10 Leadership Elective has formed a partnership with the Redwood Centre in Warburton and Benwerren in Yarra Junction. This week we collected donations at school from staff and families, conducted a sausage sizzle at school and raised funds in the Yarra Junction Mall. As a result, we provided 25 hampers for families in need this Christmas. We are overwhelmed and humbled by the generosity shown. Thank you all very much.
