12.01.2022 I have been thinking about my friends in Bali 85% of their income was from tourism before Covid. I am thinking of doing another crowd fundraiser too but in the meantime I was tagged into this project by Rachel Kucera who helped me with marketing for my last Ubud Workshop. Sounds like a good project I’m going to order mine now!

In addition to all these food packs, Nyoman gave out many 25kg bags of rice to staff from the Arma Resort where we stay when we do the Linocut workshop. With $10 Australian he can buy a family a food pack which includes: 4 kg of rice, a pack of teabags, cooking oil, instant coffee and half a dozen eggs. For just $10 you can feed a family for about 4 days . I have been runn...ing Ubud Art Workshops - Linocut Retreat in Bali for five years, held at the Arma Resort in Ubud. The majority of the staff there have been stood down due to Covid 19. Nyoman Ditsu Wilsner, works in marketing at the ARMA resort and has been surviving on savings for the past three months, but many people in his village work in low paid jobs where it is not possible to save. All people in Bali are effected by the loss of tourism; with 85% of income coming from that sector, there are people who are without food. I have created a goal of $500 Australian, so that Nyoman can continue his work without being overwhelmed, this will allow him to create fifty food packs. If there is still a need down the track when this money has been used I will create another campaign. Nyoman did not ask me to set this up, I saw what he was doing on his Facebook page and offered to help. I have known him for 4 years, if anyone who has come to my linocut retreat would like to donate $10 for a food pack (or more for several food packs) your donation will be gratefully received by people who do not have enough to eat because of Covid's effect on tourism in Bali. Go fund me takes 30 cents per donation and 2.9% so the vast majority of the money you donate goes directly to those in need.
