05.01.2022 Calling all vinyl record fans! We hosted Off the Record last year for Mildura Fringe's Yarn Fest and the concept that the Fringe team developed was a huge success. Last year’s Yarn Fest was a celebration of Sunraysia’s diverse community told through unique storytelling events in a range of public spaces and involved 10 events over 10 days in 10 different places. ... Yarn Fest is set to return later in 2019, but the UpStart team are so damned excited and can't wait, so will host a stand alone Off the Record event this Friday due to popular demand. The record player has always been a feature in our little co-working and multi-purpose space, hence the interest in an event like Off the Record. The concept is simple, BYO vinyl record, grab a drink from our pop-up bar and have a chat with DJ Mark Eckel and the punters about your favourite album and the story behind it. The event will kick off at 37 Deakin Ave from 6pm with tickets available at the door for $10.
