22.01.2022 I recently built and launched a small website for @BlueGreenEngineeering. It's a WordPress site using Elementor page builder. I was really impressed with Elementor, particularly its ease of use to design and deploy new page layouts. Although only a small site, it provides this small business with a bold and memorable online business card, and a platform for future development. #upswingdigital #elementor #businesswebsite #digitalmarketing

22.01.2022 Are you segmenting your contacts when sending emails? A segment is a subgroup of contacts that you can send highly targeted email campaigns. When contacts receive messages that are relevant to them, they're more likely to pay attention to your campaigns, which will strengthen your relationship with your contacts and likely result in more sales. #segmenttation #personalisation #marketingautomation #CRM

18.01.2022 Are you tracking goals in Google Analytics? Goals are an important feature of Google Analytics. A goal represents an action that a user takes, called a conversion, that contributes to the success of your business. You can set up goals to track conversions like whether users signed up for a newsletter, watched a video or how long they spent on a page.... 14.01.2022 We all know how damn difficult it is these days for your posts to reach your brand followers on Facebook. At the same time we know we still need to have a presence. Here are 9 tips to help you maximise your reach and engagement: - Do you post a few times per week? Research shows that posting 5 x per day leads to higher engagement numbers.... - Posts with images get 2 x more engagement. Use images that are visually appealing. - Try to keep a consistent visual style - Don't be afraid to let your personality show - Blog posts make great content to share. Use a compelling headline and remove the link once the post has populated. It makes for a 'cleaner' post. - Video is a good option to tell stories. Better to use native video rather than linked from YouTube. - Facebook's live video is a great option if you're just starting out with video. As long as your brave enough it can be done really quickly as it instills authenticity. People understand its 'live' and don't expect it to be 'professionally produced'. - Use Facebook stories. They allow you to curate photos and video which stay live for 24 hours and can be shared via Facebook Messenger. - Bottom line - go back to your business goals and audience personas to determine which content will resonate.

01.01.2022 I thought I'd share a screenshot of one of my client's Google Ad campaigns. So business had dropped off and perhaps counter-intuitively in this COVID-19 lockdown, this business decided to re-start their Google Ads campaign and are now reaping the benefits. Only a micro small business, but as you can see with less than a $300 spend last month, they received 16 lead conversions at $21 per conversion. With a 50% sales conversion rate, that this business has, that's a 253% return on ad spend. Nice! With less competition right now, maybe your business could take advantage too?
