25.01.2022 I had so much fun creating this space for our little one, when I decorated we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl. I painted the walls in a spearmint colour with a gradient to white - I did this with a roller. Dip dyed the curtains to match. I found a Fler chair on eBay which I upholstered in a wool, new foam and springs. The toy box I covered with a fun chevron material, I found the box at a Vinnies. The cupboard I found on eBay and decorated the handles with fun colours to match the toy box. The sheep mobile I made from felt and pom poms. I had a friend cut me the light out of 4mm ply which I varnished the same as the Cot. The cot I found on ebay which I sanded back and stain and varnished.

25.01.2022 Retro Nesting Tables upcycled with a heavy duty, hard wearing graphic wrap, applied to the old laminated top. I can do these in graphic design your heart desires, I have another set ready and waiting for a facelift.

18.01.2022 Chair Ahoy! is an old captain's chair off a ship, rumoured to belong to the ship SS Woroonga which sailed to Australia in 1882. Now given a new lease on life this captain's chair has been reupholstered in a vintage army wool blanket. The wooden arm facings are the original ones found bolted to the chair which were covered in leather, they were a beautiful old hardwood, handcrafted and carved so I sanded them back and waxed them and bolted them back on. The base is heavy cast iron with a gold/brass finish which has a great old patina which I just added a layer of wax too, to preserve the antique look of it.

17.01.2022 A work in progress, need to add some signage and small odds and ends... #upturn #vintagemarketfair

12.01.2022 Upcycled draws that needed a bit of a makeover, they had a dodgy old fake wood laminate top which I covered in a hard wearing, heavy duty laminate graphic. I have painted the sides in a waterbased enamel. The timber draws were sanded back and stained with a walnut stain and oiled.

11.01.2022 Just finished this vintage picnic blanket chair. #upholstery #vintageblanket

11.01.2022 Stamp stamp. Getting ready for new vintage market stall... Watch this space...

08.01.2022 A labour of love, application of traditional upholstery techniques to bring this diamond buttoned back chair back to life

07.01.2022 This solid timber wall unit has had a facelift with some white vinyl graphics applied to the inside of the glass doors and onto the timber cupboard sliding doors. It would look great in a retro or mid century modern interior

06.01.2022 Another Op shop find - these two 70's Ottomans. Recovered in a black and white cotton, new foam, just a bit of fun - spots and stripes

06.01.2022 These two retro dining chairs needed some help to be revived, they have been reupholstered in a linen fabric. The frames have been sanded back and oiled.

06.01.2022 Just finished this Danish Deluxe couch Upcycled hard rubbish find!

02.01.2022 I upholstered this chair for my mum. Diamond buttoned back, pinstriped arms and velvet button detail. #diamondbuttons #velvet #pinstripe #upturn

02.01.2022 Taking shape...

01.01.2022 I found these little beauties abandoned on the side of the road, FLER - A great example of mid century modern Australian design. These have been reupholstered, new webbing, new arms, new foam and covered in a quality upholstery fabric. The wood had a new coat of french polish and came up a treat.

01.01.2022 These bentwood chairs are all individually unique but I have made them a set by giving them socks and tops. Painted duck egg blue enamel paint give them a pop of colour which ties them all together.
