24.01.2022 UTCC FAT GOAT CRAFT CLUB LAUNCHES THURSDAY! ... We are pleased to announce our partnership with local establishment The Fat Goat and this Thursday night marks week one of the UTCC Fat Goat Craft Club! Each week we will sample, discuss and debate a different beer from The Fat Goat. And we can finally reveal our inaugural drop! It's the ... McCONAUGHAZE from Mr Banks Brewing Co. Here's a word from the brewery .. "Our favourite in house DDH PALE with our favourite Hop Combo & our Favourite Actor. Double dry hopped with Citra & Mosaic, this is just the perfect spring and summer crusher. All the flavour, little alcohol & great mouth feel so you can knock back a few". To get the ball rolling, the McConaughaze will be FREE OF CHARGE. That’s right - it will cost you nothing to dabble in the finer side of beer on Thursday. PLUS, those that are keen to join the Club will receive a FREE Craft Club stubby holder. From week two onwards, the weekly fee will be $7 payable at the bar. It's a small price to pay for the beverage oddysey you'll be taken on throughout the year. If you haven't already, make sure you check out The Fat Goat (2 Morris Rd, Upwey - top left of Main St), which has recently reopened with an extended outdoor area. 20.01.2022 UTCC FAT GOAT CRAFT CLUB The Fat Goat Craft Club launched last week with many Tigers enjoying something a little different for their post-training tipple! ... This week we introduce another new craft beer from The Fat Goat's fridge: DEEDS XPA from Deeds Brewing in Glen Iris. "This XPA is a laid-back easy-sipper! 20.01.2022 WEEKEND WRAP - SENIORS It was a mixed bag on the weekend for our Senior cricketers, taking 3 wins and 2 losses into the Xmas break. The 1st XI remain unbeaten and now sit atop the ladder after a hard fought win against 4th placed FTG Footballers. No one really got going with the bat early, with the return to form of Kyle Snyman scraping the side to a defendable total. Regular early breakthroughs, including 3 from Kyle, saw us on top early until a Footballers partnershi...p threatened to take the game away from us. Enter Daniel Wiles, who turned the game snaring the two set batsmen in one devastating over, setting the swift charge to victory in motion. The 2nd XI turn at 6-0 and are also sitting on top of the ladder. Run-a-ball half centuries from Hunter Greenall and Damian Berenato bookended the innings to set a total that would prove too much for the Footballers. An even bowling performance secured a comfortable win. The 3rd XI tasted defeat for the first time this season away to Mountain Gate but still finish the round on top of the ladder owing to a healthy percentage. An excellent all-round performance by Ricky Lizza wasn't enough after a strong team bowling display was bought undone by some reckless batting. The 4th XI made it 4 in a row and hit Xmas in 3rd place on the ladder. A Sam Brown fifty helped set a competitive target for Belgrave before a Steven Atherton masterclass ripped through the Magpie order. Steven finished with his first career 5 wicket haul in an outing to remember! It was a tough day at the office for the 5th XI with Upper Ferntreee Gully proving too strong. Richard Wicks continued a stellar year with his third half-century helping the side to a respectable total. Unfortunately, wickets were few and far between with the target being mown down in quick time. The 5ths head to Xmas a couple of games adrift of the top 4. Overall, the Club is in great shape with 4 of 5 teams looking on track for finals action, with the other showing some terrific signs of development from some young Tigers just starting their senior careers. We hope everyone has a fantastic, safe break and can't wait to see what 2021 may bring! Graphics courtesy of JR Sports Media & Design.

20.01.2022 A big congratulations to Jess from our Women's side and her partner Neil on the arrival of our newest Tiger, Lenny James Page, born 28/11/20. We can't wait to meet him down at the Dome!

08.01.2022 WEEKEND WRAP - JUNIORS There were some terrific results from the weekend's junior action. Our Under 16's continued their unbeaten start to the season with a strong showing against a combined South Belgrave and St Johns-Tecoma side. Noah Weston continued his good form with the bat after the bowlers shared the spoils. ... Our Under 14 1's narrowly lost to Eildon Park, despite a great all-round effort with bat and ball from Zachary Seal and a great bowling performance from Archer Greenberg. The Under 14 2's registered their 2nd win for the year with a dominant display. Max Worthy dominated with the bat and George Tingay starred with the ball to set up the victory over Knox Gardens. 07.01.2022 We're thrilled to announce Icon Sports Melbourne have jumped on board as our official apparel sponsor for the next three seasons. The club have had a fantastic ongoing relationship with Andy and the team at Icon for a few years now and are looking forward to continuing this over the next three years. 07.01.2022 WEEKEND WRAP - SENIOR CRICKET Another successful weekend for the club with 4 of 5 senior men's sides coming away with wins, while the Women's side also tasted victory for the first time this season. Jay Colee and stand-in skipper Cam Wheeler were the difference in a heart-stopper as our 1st XI moved into second place on the ladder.... Steve Collard and Jarryd Roleff were influential against their old side as our 2nd XI maintained their unbeaten start to their Division 3 premiership defence. Our 3rd XI trounced Eildon Park in a top of the table clash in Division 4, largely on the back of another terrific all-round performance from Jarred Webb. The 4th XI have continued their winning ways, making it three wins on the bounce, and now sit inside the top four. Jarod Van Mourik with the bat and Lachy Dennis with the ball were key contributors. The 5th XI fought hard against a strong Knoxfield side, but ultimately came up short. A few decent starts with the bat wasn't enough to see them chase down a large total. Our Women's side had their first win in their series of matches against Olinda last night. Bernie Black and Teagan Beattie were terrific with the bat to ensure we posted a defendable total. A big thanks to JR Sports Media & Design for the graphics.
