The Board members of the #LachlanHughesFoundation opened applications for the second Scholarship on Monday 7th December, with a closing date of 31st January 2021. ... Are you passionate about the Australian beef industry? Do you believe in the necessity to regenerate our soils and retain moisture? Do you want to learn more about natural sequence farming practices? Do you want to revitalise our rural communities and industry? Are you passionate about regenerative agriculture? Lachlan died just over 2 years ago; he was passionate about saving our #grazing lands. The annual #Scholarship was established in Lachlan’s honour and funds the scholar to complete suitable courses and training that will assist them with their own on-farm project. 10.01.2022 Our Scholarship has benefited from this Create Change initiative, Read more In this post from UQ today. The Create Change Scholarship match is coming to a close at the end of 2020. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the match has established 81 scholarship funds which could create over 130 scholarships for UQ.... All donations over $50,000 are eligible for the match. Jennifer Karlson, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Advancement) at UQ said, To create a new endowment scholarship traditionally would be $100,000, which is obviously out of reach for most people. The matching brings it down to $50,000 as a minimum, still an incredible investment that people can make over a period of time, which then makes it a lot more manageable.
