But sadly COVID travel restrictions side-lined the team, stranding them and the medical supplies they had spent over a year fundraising for in New Orleans. 02.01.2022 A UQ Study has found Melatonin could improve brain functions related to sleep quality in children recovering from concussion. According to CHRCs Dr Kartik Iyer the study revealed that concussed children who received 3mg or 10mg of melatonin over a four-week period experienced significant improvement in whole-brain function and grey matter.

02.01.2022 Happy birthday to the last-standing 1944 University of Queensland graduate Dr Henry Malcolm Whyte, who celebrates his 100th birthday today. Graduating from UQ with a university medal for outstanding academic performance and a Rhodes Scholarship, Dr Whyte had a diverse career that included serving in the Army, teaching physiology at UQ, instituting one of the first dialysis services in Australia and working as the Coordinator of the Alcohol and Drug Dependence Unit within the ...ACT Health Commission, among many other roles. According to Dr Whyte, one of his biggest achievements was setting up Lifeline in Canberra in the 1970s. Dr Whyte will be celebrating his century with a Zoom birthday party with 200 guests from around the world this weekend
