25.01.2022 Aromantic-spectrum Q&A thread! Ahead of the Aroamtic Spectrum awareness & support stall on Monday, the Queer Collective is hosting a Q&A thread. Comment below, and some of our aromantic-spectrum members will answer your questions! No question is too "silly" and don't be scared about your question being inappropriate; if it is, that's okay, we won't be angry! we'll just explain why, because we're here to educate I'm Caspian Winter (they pronouns) and I'm aromantic. I've been ...out as aro for about 6 years and I'm pretty heavily involved with the aro community. I also have a queerplatonic partner, who I've been with for almost 2.5 years. I’m Peri Wright (any pronouns) and I’m asexual and aromantic. I’ve known I’m both basically my entire life, and been ‘out’ (with and without terminology) for 8 years. I’m involved in the asexual and aromantic communities.

18.01.2022 We may have won the day, but the war is far from over. Do not let this win go unhonoured. Today, celebrate what is a momentous step forward. Tomorrow, email yo...ur local member and ask them to vote up Dean Smith MP's marriage equality bill, and ask for a reply. If they tell you they're planning to vote it down, or to vote for James Patterson's bill which would see so many protections go down the drain, demand a meeting and keep pressure on them until they say yes. You aren't alone in this and in every electorate in Australia there are at least 26% of people who said yes, who support us, and will push with you. That's nearly 20,000 people no matter where you live in Australia. 20,000 people in your court, no matter where you live, backing you up, and if every single one of us keeps the pressure on we will win. We aren't free until everyone is equal, and this is step in the right direction. Don't let the negativity that will spew out of the Parliament and the No campaign tarnish this for you.

16.01.2022 Same with guys, it’s inherently gendered but can be used in a neutral way, this is a good read!
