Day is a national day of action where everyone is encouraged to check in with those around us and simply ask Are you OK?. 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, highlighting now more than ever, how important it is to stay connected with each other. Day, UQ Life in partnership with the Student Services Counselling team have a program of online and on campus workshops and activities aimed at encouraging meaningful conversations with those around you and providing opportunities to learn how to support others who are struggling and continue a conversation when someone says theyre not OK. 07.01.2022 Over the weekend members of the team conducted the first Driverless Design Camp. Students were initially taught about the overall framework for the car before diving further into specific components in LIDAR, SLAM and Computer Vision sub teams. The weekend was a great success and has set some great foundations for future driverless concept developments in the team.

04.01.2022 The middle of last week saw the continuation of team retreats with the business students. Members learnt the ins and outs of the business pitch event and some valuable public speaking skills which were put to the test in a mock pitch contest. The team also took time to reflect on what has been achieved so far this year and where to go now. Lets keep up the great work!!

04.01.2022 Our driverless team visited Universal Field Robots a few weeks ago and learnt about lidars, machine learning, gps systems and hardware integration. Everyone found it a really rewarding experience and we would like to thank UFR for the time they spent with our members.
