22.01.2022 Tele-Health (Consultation with the GP by phone and video calling while the patient is at home) is now available in Uralla Medical Centre 24/7 during the Pandemic of Covid-19. You can book your consultation by phoning the surgery on 6778 4500 & 6778 4511 or calling the after hour mobile number 0400 672 551 if the surgery is closed and you believe you need medical attention, the service is available all over the Easter holiday too. Please stick to social distancing as the only... available effective method to tackle Covid-19. Global ignorance of this pandemic could end in wiping millions of people off the planet. This is NOT a joke. Eligible patient for this service is a patient who: a. has been diagnosed with COVID-19 virus but who is not a patient of a hospital; or b. has been required to isolate themselves in quarantine in accordance with home isolation guidance issued by Australian Health Protection Principal Committee; or c. considered more susceptible to the COVID-19 virus being: i. at least 70 years old, or ii. at least 50 years old or over if of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; or iii. pregnant; or iv. a parent of a child under 12 months; or v. a person under treatment for chronic health conditions or who are immune compromised. Please note, that this criterion means you are eligible if you are having any serious chronic disease like heart condition, asthma, COPD, emphysema, Almost all patients of chronic diseases are eligible. 16.01.2022 Vaccination Clinic Update.: Please note, all children from age 6 months to 5 years old are eligible for free Flu vaccination, no matter what conditions they have. So all 100% are eligible, that piece of information was missing in my previous post and I apologise for this mistake. First timer must have two doses one month apart. 15.01.2022 First Flu Injection Clinic is on Thursday 09/04/2020 @ 10:00 am till 12:30 pm. Please try you best to follow the following recommendations: 1- Try not to touch any door handle or table in the surgery 2- Clean your hands with the available hand gel on the round table just after you come through the door way. 3- Only a maximum of 7 people are allowed in the waiting room at once, the remaining should wait outside leaving 1.5 meter between each other. 4- No 2 people are allowed i...n the corridor toward my clinic at once. 5- Inform the reception if you have any flu symptoms. In such case you have to stay in your car till we call you. Eligible people according to The Dept of Health guidelines: 1- All Aboriginals from 6 months old. 2- All 65 + years old. 3- All 6 months + old people with serious related chronic diseases like: A) Asthma B: COPD, Emphysema, Bronchiectasis, Cystic Fibrosis, Pulmonary Fibrosis, etc. (Lung related diseases) C) Any heart related disease. D) Any patient on an Immuno-suppressant medication like Methotrexate, Hydroxychloroquine, Sulfasalazine, etc. E) Diabetes Type l and ll, all ages. 13.01.2022 Covid-19 Swab Testing is now available in Uralla Medical Centre. The swab will be taken in Uralla and sent to Laverty overnight. The result would be expected in 2 days. No test will be taken on Fridays after 1:30 pm. Please note: 1- No symptomatic patient will be allowed inside the centre building. All testing will be done in the patient’s car. 2- All patients MUST ring first and organise the testing. Any symptomatic patient enters the clinic against the Covid-19 Declaration ...attached on the clinic door will be legally charged. 3- All patients must seek the result from the clinic's reception as needed. You do not have any symptoms associated with Covid-19 (e.g. fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, sneezing, runny nose, loss of sense of smell, etc) You do not have Covid-19 nor are you awaiting the result from being tested for Covid-19 You have not been in contact with any known or suspected cases of Covid-19 in the past 14 days You have not returned or being in contact with anyone else who has returned from overseas in the past 14 days You have not been in Victoria or any of the hot spot suburbs of Sydney in the past 14 days And will require that you sign the declaration to that effect, or if you have a smart phone, download the QR Scanner and complete your details.
