23.01.2022 Hi everyone. A final reminder for Veterans that if you wish to attend the Veterans Remembrance Day dinner next Friday night at the Alternate Root, then please let us know by tomorrow, Sunday. I have to give final number first thing Monday morning. If you know of a Veteran in the Uralla shire that might like to come along for a great night all paid for by DVA and RSL, please get them in touch with us at Thunder Graphics by tomorrow afternoon. It is sure to be a great night for all.

19.01.2022 Tomorrow at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th Month we remember those that didn't return and honour those still wearing the uniform our our armed forces. Uralla will be holding our Remembrance Day Service from 10.30 with the raising of the flag and bringing it back to half mast. We will have a Welcome to country by our Mayor, Mr. Michael Pearce followed by a short service. At 11am the Last Post will be played followed by two minutes silence then Reveille where the... flag will be raised once more. Schools in our local area are attending, along with local government representatives, RSL members and Veterans, and representatives from the local service clubs. Floral Tributes are more than welcome to be laid. Everyone is welcome to attend however we are limited to 100 and everyone must abide by COVID-19 Safe Practice of Social Distancing etc. We look forward to seeing everyone there from 10.30am. "Lest We Forget"

19.01.2022 More from tonight. What a wonderful night. Such a lovely atmosphere, so glad to see so many happy people <3 Such a brilliant venue. Highly recommend the Alternate Root for dinner functions. Berdine looked after us so beautifully. Thank you!

12.01.2022 Well, that is a wrap. After a long week on the street stall , we have closed shop, drawn the raffles and sold most of our badges and poppies. Thank you so very much for all the support from our RSL members, Auxiliary members and some of the partners of our members. They sold tickets and poppies, books and brick-a-brac and baked until they could bake no more. A very successful week, not only for the raising of funds for our veterans projects, but more so for the exposure... of the RSL and the job we are doing to help our Veterans in our community. Our many, many visitors during the week were very proud that we were out there doing what we are doing. Our final photo for the week is of one of the lovely ladies who happened to be having a birthday coffee with friends in front of the Uralla Community Street Stall who we asked to help us draw our raffles this afternoon. Thank you everyone for the support. Now onto Remembrance Day on Wednesday and our Veterans Dinner on Friday. Lest we Forget. See more

04.01.2022 Thank you to those who came along to our Remembrance Day service today. It was a warm day, but thankfully not overly so. We appreciated the schools and organisations that came along and laid such beautiful wreaths in honour of those who went before us.

03.01.2022 The Uralla Sub-branch will be having our last meeting of the year this Sunday the 29th of November at 11am. We'll be meeting at the Memorial Institute, 55 Bridge Street, Uralla. All RSL members, RSL Auxiliary and veterans are welcome to attend. We'll head to the Bottom pub for a bite to eat following the meeting. Our drop in centre is now closed for a couple of months as our Well Being officer is away south for some R & R, but we can still help with any issues veteran...s may have and can point you in the right direction for assistance. If the current media storm over the SASR is bringing up any issues please reach out to someone or get in contact with us here. You are not alone. There are many support groups out there to assist veterans needing support. Open Arms Veterans & Family Counselling is just one but they are well suited for support with many of them part of the Veteran Community. 02.01.2022 The RSL Sub-Branch street stall is going strong. Still lots of great goodies for sale including some fresh baked muffins, GF Chocolate cake, some beautiful free range eggs, tomato plants, Iris cuttings and plenty of books. More cup cakes and goodies coming in this afternoon. Don't forget your badge or poppy for Remembrance Day next Wednesday the 11th. We'll also have these in the pubs and Bowlo this afternoon. All going to a great cause to help our local veterans. Come on down this morning and see Leoni and Tony, two of our hard working members and grab some morning tea or a poppy to wear. We'll be here until Sunday.
