12.01.2022 Good morning Netballers! I hope you are all as excited as we are about getting back on court in a few weeks. This is a bit of a long post but it’s very importa...nt that you read it as it has all the information you will need for the season. Unfortunately due to ground number restrictions there are NO spectators allowed from rounds 1 to 7. Game start times have changed to ensure we have enough time before and after each game to clear the venue and clean for the next time slot. With these new start times there will be arrival times which are listed below. Game Time 8:45am Arrive no earlier then 8:30am Game Time 10:25am Arrive no earlier then 10:10am Game Time 12:05pm Arrive no earlier then 11:50am Game Time 1:45pm Arrive no earlier then 1:30pm Game Time 3:25pm Arrive no earlier then 3:10pm You must leave as soon as your game is over. Unfortunately there is no standing around socialising after the game you must leave the grounds straight away. This allows DNA time to clean for the next group of players. There will be dedicated kiss & drop zones for parents to drop their children off but to avoid what no doubt will be a bit of traffic congestion I suggest you all meet over at the touch fields so you don’t even have to drive into the netball carpark. I recommend that Coaches organise a meeting point for their team and then walk them all over to the court together. Everyone must come to the courts fully prepared to take the court, strapping done, jewellery off and nails cut. You will have 15 minutes from your arrival time to take the court this includes warming up. Please make sure you use the designated Entry point and Exit points. As you saw each court is allowed a certain number of participants this includes, 20 players, 6 Officials (Coach, assistant coach and scorer) and 2 umpires. Each team will need to supply 1 scorer for each game and it can be shared around the parents, the parents can work it out amongst themselves or the coach can do a roster so that at least one parent can watch the game per week. If you play at 3:25pm your team will be responsible for packing away 1 post pad from your court, taking it to the post pad room and spraying it with disinfectant. It is very important that we all follow the rules, these are not just rules that DNA decided on these are rules from NNSW and the Government. If we are seen to not be doing the right thing and following the Covid guidelines our season could be cancelled and no one wants that.
