25.01.2022 Last week, The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) and the Australian Dental Association (ADA), made an announcement to ease restrictions on provision of dental treatment. Urban Dental will continue to provide care to our patients at the highest level and will be taking additional measures to ensure all patients are safe. Until further notice, Urban Dental will be practicing under level 2 restrictions as advised by the ADA. As such we are currently unable... to offer full check up and cleans. If you are wanting to have your teeth checked, we are happy to see you, but we will have to postpone any cleaning for a later date. We are now able to offer a range of treatments including fillings and emergency treatment. 18.01.2022 Do you know what to do if your child knocks out one of their adult teeth? Follow these tips to minimise long-term damage: 1. Always hold the tooth by the crown... (top) and avoid touching the root. 2. If the tooth is dirty, clean it in milk. DO NOT scrub the tooth or remove any pieces of tissue. 3. Try placing the tooth back in its socket - making sure its facing the right way round. (If it's a baby tooth, dont try to place it back in.) 4. Take your child to the dentist as soon as possible. 5. If you cant replant the tooth, put it in a clean container of milk or saliva. DO NOT wrap it in a tissue or allow it to dry out as this can reduce the chance of it reattaching. #TuesdayTips
