24.01.2022 Over the last 9 months negotiation skills have been extremely important within our business. For a negotiation to be affective both parties need to understand each other’s needs. It’s helpful if both parties are prepared to move from their inital expectations. As professional property managers we need to provide realistic advice to the landlord and tenant to assist in reaching an agreement. #negotiation #listen Reach out if you need any advice ... 0400 004 667 Megan Mander See more

23.01.2022 I started my Commercial Real Estate Career 20 years ago at Cantwells Property in Hawthorn. Here’s one of my first Auction listings! I’ve learnt so much since then. Note my mobile number is 0400 004 667

23.01.2022 Today is #ruokay day, RUokay day is a suicide prevention charity that raises money in order to provide resources for the community. Their aim is to inspire and empower everyone to meaningfully connect with those around them who may be struggling. 23.01.2022 It’s that time of year, one of our tenants had an attempted break-in. The vandals who were caught by the police destroyed the electrical switchboard and meter in the process! Make sure you have adequate insurance cover in place #propertydamage #vandalism

16.01.2022 Did you know there is no requirement under the Commercial Regulations to undertake property inspections! We are currently scheduling our catch up inspections from months in lockdown. However we are also trying not to interfere with our tenants businesses given they are also in catch up mode and many are entering the busiest time of the year. Inspections give us an opportunity to talk to the tenant and assess any issues. #propertymanagement #professionalservices

15.01.2022 Long days ahead for the last week before we close some of our usual business functions until 4/1 ... #finalcountdown #isitreallychristmas

13.01.2022 Pet Groomers are one of the first businesses able to re-open under the Second Step Metropolitan Road Map, providing a contactless service can be provided. However mobile operators are excluded. Meanwhile a large proportion of our portfolio including our own agency remain locked down under the current restrictions. Although I wasn't a dog person, I can't imagine life without a dog now, what a great companion they are.

13.01.2022 We have set up a number of COVID Plans and contact tracing apps for a number of buildings we manage. All persons entering the buildings are asked to observe the entry requirements, especially with the current requirement to wear face masks indoors. #besafe #letsdothis

13.01.2022 Although this strategy alone won’t save many Melbourne Food and Beverage operators, allowing on street dining and relaxing liquor licensing restrictions will add some value and culture to the central business district. This will also maximise the bums on seats that will presumably be limited indoors for an extended period. What do you think?... www.urbanecommercial.com.au
