13.01.2022 >>> #MABcommunity <<< Marcus Foth is a professor of Urban Informatics in the QUT Design Lab, and also one of the founders of the More-than-Human-Futures Group,... which leads a proactive, creative response to the unfolding planetary ecocide. At the MAB18, in Beijing, Foth made a call for a More-than-human Media Architecture, proposing nascent design considerations for media architecture to go beyond the needs of just humans and to consider new ways to appreciate and cater for our broader ecological entanglements with plants, animals, and the environment at large. He was recently invited as a keynote speaker at the 8th International Conference Arte-Polis, Architecture Design Program, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia - where he explored the topic: More-than-Human Futures: Connected Urbanism and Cohabitation in the Smart City.
