The URL for Westpacs internet banking login page is: https://online.westpac.com.au Please do not provide your personal or account details on the linked site. 16.01.2022 Cybercriminals are attacking Office 365 users Dont click that link! Microsoft has announced that millions of Office 365 users over 62 countries are being targeted by phishing campaigns targeting business leaders across a variety of industries, attempting to compromise accounts, steal information and re-direct wire transfers. The most recent of these is a scam exploiting the COVID-19 crisis. Disguising themselves as trusted senders, the messages that are being sent conta...in attachments that, when clicked, prompt users to access a familiar looking web application, which is actually malicious. If the link is clicked, there is usually a consent prompt, asking the user to grant access to data. Once access is given, the attacker can gain access to their email, files, contacts, profile and other sensitive data and resources. Make sure that you follow the 3 basic rules:- 1) Keep your email password (and all other passwords) secure 2) Ensure that you only use secure wi-fi networks 3) Never click on a link in an email unless you are sure of the sender if you are unsure, please check with the sender or call us to let us check it out. If you suspect that you have fallen foul to one of these phishing attacks, please call us on 1300 653 943. Where cybersecurity is concerned, there is no such thing as a silly question!
10.01.2022 Weve been in lockdown often and long enough now to know that working from home is a practical reality in this day and age, so lets look at what we can do to make our home working space more effective. 1. Choose your space: Our first tip ideally your home office should be set up in a separate space, that is properly outfitted for work. If you have a small room whose door can be shut, that is your best option. Depending on space and budget, you could also convert a guest room or an enclosed porch. If you cant find a dedicated space, try to find a niche space that is out of the way of the rest of the household.
08.01.2022 Working from Home Tip No 2: The Desk Ergonomics is also an important consideration your space needs a desk or table that is at work height (recommended is 29 inches from the floor to the top of the work surface for writing, but an inch or two lower for a keyboard and mouse). You will know your work surface is at the correct height if, when you sit up straight, your forearms are parallel to the ground and your wrist is not bent up or down when you type or mouse. Bending the wrists for prolonged periods is an easy way to cause injury.
08.01.2022 Happy Birthday to our one and only Heather! Were sorry that the whole team wasnt there for your cake today but we hope we made you feel special anyway, as you so deserve!!
03.01.2022 WFH Tip No 3: Monitors You will need a large monitor (or maybe two) for your home office, similar to what you would use at work. Try to avoid the cheaper monitors if you are buying, since they can lead to eyestrain over prolonged use due to their lower resolution and thus increased fuzziness. Generally speaking, you need to look for a monitor whose display resolution matches your computers maximum display resolution. Your monitor should line up so that if you look straight ahead when sitting straight, you eyes are at a height of 25% to 30% below the top of the screen. That way, you keep your shoulders level and dont hunch your back two easy ways to cause injury.
01.01.2022 WORK FROM HOME WEDNESDAY So what are the benefits in working from home? The obvious one is the cost and time savings related to travelling to and from an office. Plus, theres the obvious benefit of preventing the spread of COVID-19. But there are struggles related to WFH as well. The results from a survey of over 3,500 remote workers from around the world show what we are having difficulties with. COVID-19 has demonstrated the importance of digital readiness, which allows... business and life to continue as usual as much as possible during pandemics. We therefore have to be adaptable to digital technological advances that help us, such as remote connection software, virtual private networks (VPNs), voice over internet protocols (VoIPs), virtual meetings, cloud technology, work collaboration tools and even facial recognition technologies that enable a person to appear before a virtual background to preserve the privacy of the home. As a result, we are introducing our WFH Wednesdays, with hints and tips to get you through this period of remote working. As always, any feedback you may have regarding your experiences, and any helpful tips you can offer our community, would be greatly appreciated! See more
