21.01.2022 PLAYGROUND AND BIKE RIDING FUN, PALLARA! (corner of Gooderham and Brookbent Roads, Pallara) This recently established community park boasts an impressive three-...tier climbing tower with enclosed slide. This particular piece is situated atop a large mound, allowing for easy supervision from most places within the park. The side of the mound can be climbed using a net, rock climbing holds or steps. Behind the tower, children will find swings, bicycle rockers and a wide slide. Make sure to bring your bikes and scooters - a network of mini roads has also been incorporated into the park design. Equipped with road markings and traffic signage, children of all ages can develop their riding and road safety skills. The facilities have been well considered, including a fitness exercise station, off-leash dog area, sheltered picnic tables and chairs, barbeque and handicapped toilets. 19.01.2022 RECENTLY COMPLETED | St. Andrews Catholic Primary School Admist the friendships, play and extracurricular activities, the heart of a school is their learning environment. This learning environment extends to the outdoor spaces as they provide further opportunities for children to learn through play. 19.01.2022 The inclusive Tipi Carousel is a must-have in any playground. Children love the thrill of spinning and the Tipi Carousel allows children of all abilities to experience it. As children spin, round and round and round, they are developing their sense of balance and space, which is integral for motor skills and motor control.

17.01.2022 Pictured here are our 5 play consultants - Ben, Nikita, Tobias, Kate & Wil. Theyre pretty stoked to be playing while at work... although, play is a massive part of their role! In 2004, Ben established Urban Play with the mission to create spaces that made the world a better place through play. Fast-forward 16 years and our UP family has grown into a family of 23 including installers, administration, graphic design, marketing and maintenance.

16.01.2022 Play and growth are intertwined. Play is one of seven emotional systems of the human brain and on par with other human emotional instincts such as happiness, fear or love. Childrens physical, social-emotional, cognitive and creative development is not only supported by play, it is developed through play. There is evidence that play, apart from being great fun, is fundamental for all areas of child development.

14.01.2022 Supplied & installed by Queenslanders, for Queenslanders. The opening of Deodar Park in Burleigh Waters was such a fun morning! The playspace was jam-packed with kids putting the new playground to the test. For our play consultants, this is such a great thing to experience seeing something that they have created being played on & loved by a community.

14.01.2022 According to the Australian Institute of Health & Welfare, children aged 2 - 4 years spend 83 minutes a day on average in front of a screen, whereas the recommended time for screen-based activity for children of that age is a maximum 60 minutes per day. The report also highlighted that children aged 5 - 14 years spent over 2 hours lying or sitting down watching screens everyday.

14.01.2022 Throughout the years, the safety versus risk in playgrounds has become a debated topic. Playgrounds need to have the right balance between safety and challenge. They need to be a space that WOWs, engages children in endless hours of play and encourages them to leave their comfort zones. They also need to be a space where safety is paramount. 14.01.2022 New research from the KOMPAN Play Institute shows that sensory play features in a playground increases play value and duration in a toddler. Toddlers learn and develop skills through play-based experiences but there is a fine line between the right level of play stimulation to ensure development and over stimulation. 11.01.2022 Tucker Family Park is still one of our favourites. The creatively designed space has something for everyone - even parents! Kids can swing, climb, slide, learn and play basketball while parents get fit on the state-of-the-art KOMPAN Australia fitness equipment.

10.01.2022 The lucky students (mini sailors) are now able to set sail across a sea of imagination at lunch time. Mini captains can hop aboard the craft by scaling the rope climbing nets or walk up the stairs where they can then steer the ship to safer waters while their mates defend the ship from pirates by shooting the cannons. 05.01.2022 We are so excited! The new Tropics of the Imagination playspace opens today at Stockland. Inspired by the surrounding rivers and reefs, children can swim and play in the depths of their imagination. A big congratulations to all involved in this project - KOMPAN Australia and Variety. It is also home to Australia’s first Robinia Play Sculptures. The custom-designed Dugong and Manta Ray.

04.01.2022 Around the world inspo Covington City Park USA For a city of just 720 families, Covington City, Indiana in the USA sure punches above its weight. All the playgrounds main elements like the swings, springers, play structures etc. are in mature Robinia wood, so the equipment blends into the parkland and nature that surrounds it. The popularity of the space is such that it is becoming a drawcard for transient visitors and through-traffic, as well as attracting new families to move to the area.

02.01.2022 From a castle fit for a king to a small toddler tower bursting with play value and giant swings to fast slides, everything is assembled and built on site by our QBCC licensed install team. Our playgrounds are built from the ground UP.

02.01.2022 PEBBLE CREEK ESTATE! (Mountain Ridge Rd, South Maclean) This vibrant playground cleverly incorporates the contours of the land within its design. The inclusion ...of nature-inspired play elements and extensive planting of garden beds further compliment the surrounding native bushland. The most striking feature of the playground is a large tree themed tower with enclosed slide. A series of netted climbing structures, parkour trail and a wobbly bridge are attached to the tower, providing play opportunities for multiple users. Other equipment includes a flying fox, three bay swing set with parent-child swing, colourful steppers and a multispinner. Nestled into the sloping terrain is a bright yellow slide and abseiling ropes. The main play areas are sheltered by material sails and offer wide pathways and seating for supervising adults. Two bike riding circuits, set back from the road, are ideal for younger or beginner riders. An extensive cycling path alongside Mountain Ridge Road allows more capable riders to extend their journey.
