Let me make a suggestion, we have some beautiful juicy T Bones in at the moment or perhaps some of our tasty gourmet sausages. Look and see here or pop into the shop and see what is on offer. 17.01.2022 Hello all. We are on our way south again this weekend with yet another FREE tasting for you. In keeping with the chillier weather we are doing a slow cook. This weekend it will be Lamb Shoulder with Guinness. Slow cooked with herbs and vegies from the garden can't claim the Guinness will have to credit Dan Murphy for that. Sure to be a taste sensation. Come along and try it, Troy will have plenty of Lamb shoulder in the shop and recipes will be available. Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday morning from 9.00 am.

13.01.2022 State of Origin tonight. I have been busy making bottomless pies. What is a footy game without a pie. Today I used 500 gm of beef mince $7.00 and with a few vegies and I am again feeding 4 people for approx $2.00 per plate. I am attaching a photo of 2 large and 2 medium pies waiting for their tops. This could have been stretched to 6 or 8 normal pies but Julian enjoys his without the bottoms. I think he can fit more in without the pastry. Looking forward to a great game. 10.01.2022 Happy Easter everyone. Julian and I had a great time in the plaza last Saturday. We tasted BBQ butterflied leg of Lamb YUM YUM. We also had a selection of infused oils to taste. All available in the shop. We will be trading Saturday and Monday being closed Good Friday and Sunday. Hope you all have a safe and fun filled weekend. See you all again after the school holidays. We are on grandparent duty and looking forward to it.

10.01.2022 Hello everyone, Disappointed. We are not now going to come down in the morning for the tasting. Driving 4 hours in the rain is a bit dangerous and I am sure anyone who doesn't have to be out will be at home in the dry. We are heeding the warning IF ITS FLOODED FORGET IT !!!!!!!!!!!! We have now a new plan and we will be at the shop with a tasting on TUESDAY. Sorry for the inconvenience but I am sure you all understand. See you later in the week.

10.01.2022 Good morning all, I said I was going to post some cost saving ideas since we all know how hard it is to feed a family on a budget. I have found that you can eat well and still watch your pennies. I got a pork fillet, expensive I hear you say, but you can get two meals for 4 people from an outlay of $16.00 say another $2.00 for vegetables and rice, thats only $2.30 per plate. Now that is cheaper than any take-away and twice as delicious. The first night I made pork kebabs see the photo attached. The second night I made a pork stir fry. Both delicious meals and both extremely cost effective. The price of meat and vegetables are not going to go down so we need to think about the best way to spend our dollars. Please comment if you find this useful and also if you have any other ideas.

07.01.2022 Hi everyone, well our holiday is over and now we are back in business. Troy wants us to do a sausage tasting on Saturday morning. I have been drying herbs over the break so they are all ready to add that flavour burst to your favorite sausage. Smiling faces as always in the shop helping you with weekly menu selections. The good thing about going to your local butcher is that you buy as little or as much as you want and there is always friendly advice if you need it. Come in and say HELLO !!!!!

We have had a ball with the children over the holidays, they loved the country life with new calves and new lambs to see, sadly they are back home and we are back to normal. Cooler nights and just a hint of freshness in the morning has us turning our minds to winter foods. This weekend we will be tasting a Beef, Mushroom and Red Wine Casserole.
