20.01.2022 This is a total transformation by The Hun Floors using WaterKote 2K Bare Timber with a white wash. Completely getting that white look with the completely natural finish. Excellent workmanship and quality finish. #Repost @thehunfloors Well well it’s been awhile since we’ve done a @porterspaints WoodWash job so here we go! The back of the house had 20+ year old Baltic Pine with that deepen coloured polyurethane we all know too well, while the front section of the house ...had proper old Baltic floors with massive gaps which got a full replacement including sub floor insulation by NCP Construction. Then it was our turn to give the whole place a good sand, a coat of Porters WoodWash ‘Paper’ and topped it with 3 coats of the new edition of @urethanecoatings WaterKote Bare Timber to give these beautiful pine floors the ultimate protection. The floor colour now perfectly complements the original cream coloured kitchen and the new wall colour. Out with the old and in with, well something even older The existing floor was a mix of Cypress and Tallowwood that we’ve sanded and finished 3 years ago. The owners wanted a complete re-haul so we removed the existing flooring, re-leveled the entire framing using 100x45 Red Alert LVL joists throughout including completely replacing a few that gone over the years with 170x43 Hyspan LVL. We’ve also replaced a few rotten sections of the bearers. Since the owners loved the old hardwood look, we’ve sourced old recycled 85x20mm Tallowwood Flooring, installed Tassie Oak hand finished quad beadings (stained to match flooring). Then we’ve gave it a very good sand and finished it with @urethanecoatings HS50 Gloss for depth of colour followed by 2x WaterKote Satin for that elegant subtle sheen that dries and cures quick without toxic fumes. Only 30sqm but it took us 1,5 weeks to complete, certainly proud of our team’s combined effort.
