15.01.2022 Testicular cancer... a topic close to my heart. This is not a common cancer however it is the second most common cancer diagnosed in young men aged 18-35. For ...a lot of men diagnosed they will not have any symptoms. For those who do they may notice a painless lump in their testicle, they may feel fullness or different sensation in their a scrotum, abdominal pain, back pain or enlargement/tenderness of breast tissue. The easiest way to detect testicular cancer early is to feel for it! Yep that’s right boys drop your pants and have a good roll around. And this should be done regularly! If you feel a lump it may not be cancer but it is very important to see your GP (jack of all trades ) ASAP. If you get testicular cancer early it has a fantastic prognosis. This means survival rates are high!! Why are testicles important? To put it simply they produce testosterone.. an important hormone for guys. Not only for developing male characteristics but more importantly for bone health and heart health. They are also important for making babies! This is where sperm are made. So look after them boys.. #themindfuldoctor #mindfulness #generalpractitioners #menshealth #testicularcancer #fertility #testosterone #selfcheck #cancer

13.01.2022 I have decided to do the Superswim challenge for Starlight Childrens Charity. When our twins were born we found out first hand the daunting side of having kids in hospital. I am hoping to raise some money to help out families with sick kids in hospital. Please feel free to like this post or share it and donate through the link below if you want. https://superswim.org.au/david-brown
