23.01.2022 Potential future barristers of South Australia will be completing the Bar Reader course from January 18-22 at 9:30am-4:00pm in the Federal Courts. Up to 14 students are needed to act as volunteer witnesses in the trial. Students who participate will have the opportunity to make fantastic contacts within the legal profession. 22.01.2022 2020 USALSA President, Patrick Schaefer, today received honorary membership to the Association by virtue of his exceptional service to USALSA and his commitment to his former role. Through his new accolade, Patrick joins the ranks of the Association's great representatives. Shania Morgan and Brad Irvine-Thomas were also awarded the same title last year as our Association's first honorary members following the amendment of our Constitution. Patrick is now working as an Associ...ate in the Supreme Court of South Australia and continues to make USALSA proud. Fantastic effort Patrick. USALSA says 'Thank you!'

19.01.2022 Introducing the USALSA Executive Committee Meet Lauren, the President of USALSA. Lauren is in her final year of the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree at UniSA. She has been clerking in firms specialising in commercial law and civil litigation since 2019. She is currently working at HGV Legal. ... In her spare time, Lauren loves to travel, play netball, swim and enjoy beach days with her dogs. With a fondness for problem solving and an appreciation of the English language, Lauren choose to study law because she wanted a career which would continue to challenge and engage her. She has a keen interest in commercial and criminal law. This year, Lauren is excited to work with the USALSA team to bring new social and educational events. She desires to increase student engagement and participation to create a stronger community within UniSA Law.

Harriet is in her penultimate year of the Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree at UniSA. Last year she was the Publications and IT Officer at USALSA. She has previously volunteered for the Adelaide Courts Administrative Authority and at UniSA Sport, as a Sports Activator. She currently works at Iannace Refrigerated Transport in Magill as an Administration Assistant. ... In her spare time, Harriet loves to travel, read, paint and write, as well as play field hockey and swim at the beach. She appreciates the creativity and challenge that studying law offers. She enjoys the complexity of legal problem-solving and being able to collaborate with her peers. She is very interested in International Law and inter-governmental relationships, as well as IP related issues. This year, Harriet is excited for mooting competitions and the Mental Health and Wellbeing events that USALSA has in the works for 2021. As well, Harriet is keen to work with the USALSA team to produce cohesive and enjoyable social media content and resources.

14.01.2022 Hello everyone! I am here to share some excellent news- our hoodies have arrived!! We would like to apologise once more for the unforeseeable delay in receiving the hoodies. We have a number of options available for collection of your hoodie.... - We will be available on Friday 15th Jan for anyone who would like to come into the Law School to collect their hoodie. - For those who live too far to come into the city, we are more than happy to arrange postage. - Additionally, Lauren Arney and I are able to drop off the hoodies between 11am - 3pm on Saturday the 16th of Jan within a 10km distance of the city. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to industry professionals across the country (minus the pressure of being a competitor!). You will be required to learn a summary of facts in-depth to be able to spontaneously respond to questioning from the competitors.
