This one of many that is currently advertised: THIS IS A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO GAIN CAREER RELATED EXPERIENCE, WITH EXCELLENT SUPERVISION We are looking for people to work 6 - 20 hours a week with our 2 year old boy who has autism. We are looking to teach him vi...a a structured intervention program called applied behavioural analysis (ABA). Position Description -Work as part of a creative and dynamic team to help our child to learn and develop -Provide 2-3 hour session a few times a week at our home, plus attend two 3 hour team meetings a month in Brisbane through a professional agency, Autism Partnership. -Work and play with our child in a one-to-one format. -Teach our child to Learn, socialise, play, interact and master cognitive concepts etc. -Observe and record his behaviours -Monitor student behaviours and progress. -Communicate with supervisory staff -Utilise the principals of ABA as directed by a supervisor we provide. Training -Is provided in the format of an initial workshop, then regular training/team meetings on a monthly basis after that. Criteria for employment -You must enjoy working with children and be comfortable playing and interacting with our child. -We are looking for people with passion and enthusiasm who can bring creativity to our team.
