18.01.2022 Today, in collaboration with uab bank, Sydney Myanmar Student Associations (SMSA) successfully held a Insights on Transition Into a Career Webinar delivered by Mr Koshy. Special thanks to our guest speaker Mr Koshy and event organisers from uab bank and SMSA It was truly an eye-opening experience for students, especially those who are entering into their final year of studies... Some key takeaways from this event were: When handling the transitions: * Expect a counter-culture shock * Be level-headed * Keep an open-mind when adapting to new cultures * Try not to compare yourself to others because you are your own uniqueness. * Be humble - you are to remain humble until you earn the respect. * Agility is a core value to a lot of organisations. Thus, know that you are expected to pick things up easily and quickly. From a hiring manager perspective, these are the three skills they look for: 1. Communication - ability to communicate effectively with people in the organisation. 2. Presentation- being to able to present your ideas in a clear and concise manner. 3. Sales skills- ability to persuade and sell as well as handle objections. Thank you to each and every individual who attended the webinar today and we really hope that you are able to takeaway some valuable information with you from this webinar.
