24.01.2022 Today, on National Sorry Day we reflect on the past policies of forced child removal and on the sad and painful stories of the Stolen Generations. At the University of Tasmania, we remember and feel the hurt, the trauma and the injustice of the Stolen Generation, and acknowledge the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise the power of saying sorry. ... #sorryday #InThisTogether2020 #NRW2020

22.01.2022 Hey everyone, We know a lot of you are struggling right now. Your student representatives here at the TUU have been trying to figure out how best we can help as... many of you as possible. As an initial step, weve decided to allocate a good chunk of the money we would normally put towards events and campaigns into a plan that will help everyone pay for their grocery bills. That plan is called the Helping Hand Scheme. If you have lost your job recently, if your family is going through hardship or if you are struggling to make ends meet, youll be able to receive $25 to go towards your groceries. From today onwards, youll be able to fill out a short form on our website. The Helping Hand Committee will assess your application and well endeavour to have the $25 voucher to you within a few business days though please be patient because we anticipate high demand. We know this will only help a little bit, but we hope it can provide some relief for those of you in dire need at this time. Once you apply, well be able to direct you to other ways that you can get more financial relief. Hang in there everyone. We cant wait to see you all again soon. Youll find details and the application form on the link below https://tuu.com.au/assistance/tuu-helping-hand-scheme/
