25.01.2022 TULS wishes to invite you ALL to the Ninth Annual Women in Law Breakfast! This event will be held on Wednesday, October 7 at the Old Woolstore in Hobart and we ...are elated to announce that the keynote speaker for this event will be Her Honour Magistrate Jackie Hartnett. Many young lawyers and law students, particularly women, face the challenge of building a career in an increasingly competitive environment while also pursuing other endeavours. By holding the Women in the Law Breakfast, TULS hopes to bring members of the legal profession together with students to acknowledge and discuss the challenges faced as well as the opportunities for women within the Tasmanian legal profession. More broadly, we aim to foster a strong relationship with the legal community and encourage further interaction between students and professionals. We wish to stress that both men and women are warmly invited to this event! Tickets will be $40 which includes breakfast and one raffle ticket. More raffles can be purchased at the breakfast as the prizes will be fabulous! All profits will go to Women's Legal Service Tasmania and the Hobart Women’s Shelter.
