12.01.2022 An incredible covid inspired weekend with the filming of 2 iconic ballets Peter and the Wolf and Dance of the Dolls all via zoom with multiple casts, dancers and directors. A masterful feat of planning and scheduling with all of the Utassy dancers shinning as bright as ever, proving that nothing can keep us from dancing! Well done and thank you to everyone involved from parents siblings dancers directors coaches and teachers and especially Mrs Hayes for making it all happen!

11.01.2022 Miss Nikki bought some vinyl flooring from Bunnings ($19 for 1 by 2 meters) to create a non slip dance surface for class at home! Great for protecting wooden floor boards too!

05.01.2022 We are so proud of the professionalism and dedication which has been shown throughout this year by Utassy. None of us saw this coming, but to watch our students adapt, strengthen and improve demands celebration. No longer at the Malthouse, we are still able to present a fun program in an outside setting. Please join us to be part of our 60th Anniversary Celebration (and Kev's and my 40th Year) Thursday December 3rd at Studley Grounds Studley Park Road & Walmer Street, Kew... We will present a mixed, fun filled program with our feature ballet being Peter and the Wolf in a setting that you have never before seen. Imagos on the grass looks great and we will sprinkle divertissement throughout, performing our top repertoire of the year. Enjoy also the amazing Flamenco partnership of Aya and Alejandro, and, Harpist Genevieve Fry and African Dance with Mzuri and Mpapha! A fitting party to do our bit for the re-emergence of performance in Melbourne. There are 2 sittings - 5.30 6.30pm and the 2nd 6.45-7.45pm. There will be spaced seating and some on the veranda but as the venue also adjoins a golf course and an oval, picnicking after or before the show is also a great choice. 03.01.2022 Hi Linda and Karyn - wow this is something like 40 years ago - its Utassys 60th this year with - hopefully a big Performance/Party/Reunion at the Malthouse theatre November 28th! We inherited, you, your fantastic parents who made up the Parents Association, and those Tarantella costumes - in fact used them as Scottish costumes last year - new tulle! Hope you are both well and that we can catch up on the 28th November - all being well! Sue Hayes
