19.01.2022 With spray tans back on the menu we thought it was a great time to re-share this info. We asked Leanne [Therapist here at Utopia Skin Solutions] to give us some tips on how to prepare your skin for the best spray tan and how to make it last! Before the tan:... Prior to coming in for your tan exfoliate your skin with a body scrub or loofah mitt. Be cautious of using a scrub that leaves an oily film on the skin, as this could act as a barrier if it’s done on the same day as your spray tan treatment. Avoid deodorant and any body moisturiser on the day of your tan. After the tan: Wear loose clothing after your tan appointment, and for women no bra is best. Thongs are the best footwear. Wear your hair off your face. Avoid water on your skin while your tan is processing. Once the allocated time has elapsed wash your tan off in the shower with minimal soap. Make it last: If you want your tan to last and look fabulous, moisturise your skin. Avoid saunas and spas for longevity of your tan. 17.01.2022 Hi Guys, we’ve got a favour to ask, please don’t put our staff in an uncomfortable position by bringing other people [kids, partners, person you just met at the coffee shop, BFF, cousin visiting from the country etc] with you to your appointment! You know us, we love being a part of your life, cuddling the baby, painting the kids toenails, meeting the partner, ... but at the moment we have to be COVID safe, and that means minimising the number of people in the salon, wearing... masks at all times [until your therapist asks you to remove it for facial treatments or lip waxing] and waiting out the front of the clinic for your appointment. We put a lot of effort in to creating a safe environment for our staff and you guys, so please follow our guidelines. We thank you so much for your cooperation with this, but we are firm in our position that we will not allow attendance by those who do not comply. We can’t wait to see you [covid safely] in the salon soon.
