08.01.2022 "In doing so, this new wave of Australian storytellers not only reflects this country more faithfully than the white-dominated arts traditionally have: they expose to the harsh but cleansing sunlight all those cumulative scars that come with being brown in a country that believes it is white but has always been Black." Check out this amazing piece by Ruby Hamad on Witness Performance about Sex, Drugs & Pork Rolls. We're super excited to have worked with SWEATSHOP and Sydney Festival on this 100 per cent POC produced show.

02.01.2022 Our friends at FORM Dance Projects and Riverside Theatres present the first Dance Bites of 2021! TWO RAGHAV HANDA, produced by Performing Lines, subverts the conventional wisdom that underpins traditional Indian Kathak. Central to the form is the hierarchy between musician and dancer. For as long as Kathak has existed, the musician leads and the dancer follows. But now with the help of Maestro Tabla player Maharshi Raval, Raghav asks what happens if the roles are reversed; what happens if the dancer takes control? Using a highly physical and playful dance vocabulary, TWO demonstrates the creative potential in respectfully challenging tradition. Happening at Riverside Theatres (tag @riversideparra) 18 20 February, 2021 Book Now: https://riversideparramatta.com.au/show/dancebites-two/
