14.01.2022 Before doing any invasive procedure we wanted to show the patient the results. This case will need a gum-lift followed by conservative veneers . We used the #uveneer kit to create this simulation directly on her teeth without bonding.
14.01.2022 A case of 8 composite veneers In all of my composites cases, in the first stage, I start by correcting the gum level first with a laser (if needed), then bleach the rest of the dentition to get a brighter foundation. Two weeks later, I will build the composite veneers. In this case the patient was not happy with her smile. She presented with old stained composite restorations as she fractured 11, 21, pointy gums, and teeth appeared in different shades. Used: Gemini laser to contour the gums, Boost in-chair whitening, Valo curing light, #Uveneer kit- by #Ultradent : Composite used: Gradia XBW with Geniael injectable flow B1 (placed into the Uveneer template) to lower the value and create natural opalescence and shine. (GC). Comment: I avoid the bleaching material on 21 and 11 as they were sensitive due to the recent trauma.
13.01.2022 One of the biggest challenges in cosmetic dentistry is to blend a shade of one tooth to the rest of the teeth. In this case this young man wanted to improve his... smile. He presented with tooth 12 that was previously bonded many years ago with a wrong shade(dark) and shape(wide) .The tooth was vital. Tooth 11 not the same height as 21. I decided to lengthen the incisial part of tooth 11 to match height of 21 and build a composite veneer on tooth 12 (using #Uveneer kit) without removing all of the existing composite as there was no decay. It is important to note that although dentists perceive the perfect veneer when it includes tertiary anatomy in the form of perikymata and surface stippling, in some cases the patients don't really like it and ask to smooth the final veneer surface you created. We also need to remember that in reality a detailed surface texture may or may not be present and depends on the genetic variation of the patient or the age of the patient as with time erosion and friction smoothen the tooth surface. And last, having both kits offers you both options and a variety of sizes to cover more cases. See more

06.01.2022 Hi all, I took this shot today of some of the composites that I own. As you can see, ALL ARE A1 shade, and they are so different. Each brand is completely diff...erent from the other in Hue, Chroma, and Value. The conclusion is that resins with the same shade from different brands need to be part of your personal kit. The reason is that some color effects are better reproduced by certain types of resin. The clinician may need the opacity of A1 resin of one commercial brand, the opalescent and translucent effect of another one, or maybe one that can best mimic the value of the tooth and will blend naturally. Some cases I use one brand at the first layer and another brand as the second layer to benefit from both properties See more
