12.01.2022 SHE DOES IT! UWA - West Coast Swimming Clubs Tamsin Cook is through to the final of the 400m freestyle! In a fantastic heat swim that saw her finish fourth and... compete against long-distance great Katie Ledecky, 17yo Cook (c. Mick Palfery) smashed a huge 2 seconds off her PB to record a time of 4:04.36. Cook will join fellow Australian Jessica Ashwood in the final & said she was thrilled with her performance, saying her immediate goal was to jump into the warm-down pool to "calm down." (She even threw in a reference to the Swimming WA tagline, when commenting on "the opportunity to swim again Katie Ledecky"!). Congratulations Tamsin Cook!
