14.01.2022 Congratulations to recent PhD graduate, Dr Alina Naveed from the UWA School of Human Sciences and UWA School of Molecular Sciences, for her recent paper publish...ed in Springer Natures Cellular and Molecular Life Sciences. You can read the paper : https://bit.ly/3cboQb6 The team devised a unique antisense oligonucleotide technology to bind to NEAT1, a long non-coding RNA studied comprehensively in the Fox Lab. This technology halts the growth of aggressive neuroblastoma cells in culture. Their promising research contributes to the emerging field of RNA Therapeutics. With further development, this anti-cancer drug target could one day help young infants and children diagnosed with this devastating childhood cancer. Alina worked with her supervisor Associate Professor Archa Fox and co-authors from the Childrens Cancer Research Institute in Sydney and Murdoch University.
