20.01.2022 UWA Tavern is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and calm Demi Chef on Part Time basis to assist the Head Chef in ensuring a smooth operation is maintained, focusing on quality and consistency of the meals produced for our patrons by our small team. Hours range from 30-38/wk, depending on UWA Academic calendar and events/functions on Campus. Roster would mostly be Mon-Fri daytime, but must be flexible to work nights and weekends, if needed.... Main duties include, but not restricted to: - Ensure food preparation is consistent and in correct levels, minimising wastage; - Ensure service is smooth, support both sections (HOT and PIZZA) and running the pass; - Liaise with FOH staff to communicate service matters; Assist Head Chef in developing specials and new menu items - Placing orders on daily used items Must hold: - Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) - Previous experience as a Commis Chef, minimum 2 years - Previous experience in busy Pub style kitchen - Demonstrated understanding and commitment to food safety legislation and HACCP This is a part-time fixed term position at Hospitality Cook Grade 4 Demi Chef. Base hourly rate is $24.12 as per Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020. Want to apply?
