UWA would love to enter a Tennis team into this tournament and show the WA Unis whos best in the West! 21.01.2022 Congratulations to all pennants teams for their amazing season this winter! This weekend, we have all teams competing in the finals or consolation finals. Make sure you get around Div 1 Iaconi (v Mt Lawley) and Div 8 (v North Perth), who are playing their finals match up at home this weekend. Div 4 also made the finals, and they face Dalkeith away.... Our other teams are playing in the consolation finals series. All the teams below are playing away: Div 1 (Paterson) at Cottesloe Div 2 v Floreat Div 3 v Kwinana Div 5 v Nollamara Div 7 v Ocean Ridge We also have our Wednesday night Div 1 team which finished second on the ladder and have the bye in the first week of the finals. Lastly, thanks to all those who came down to watch the Div 1 matchup on Saturday. Here are some pictures from the event. Good luck to all playing this weekend!

18.01.2022 Calling all UWA Tennis Club members! On Sunday 2nd August, your tennis club will be working the sausage sizzle stand at Claremont Bunnings. This is a great fundraising initiative to ensure the club has enough funds to maintain the excellent clay courts and to support our pennants teams. We cannot run this fundraising initiative without support from our members. 13.01.2022 Last week before finals, time to get around the UWA Teams! Let's hope the rain stays away... The main event is the two UWA Teams facing off in Div 1. This cannot be missed! Come down to the Mt Claremont clay courts from 1230pm to grab a snag, have a beer and watch some quality tennis. Team Iaconi will be playing for top spot, while Team Paterson will be playing to stay in the finals race. Also on the clay courts will be Div 3, looking to stay in the top 6 against Bayswater, ...and Div 4 trying to move to second spot with a win against Dalkeith. If you are at uni, Div 8 are sitting nicely in second spot and are looking for a win against Higgins Park to finish off their strong season. We also have our Div 2 team looking for their first win in Lesmurdie, Div 5 playing to stay in the top 6 against Darlington and Div 7 chasing their 3rd win when they take on Bayswater. Fingers crossed the rain stays away and we have a good final round before finals. Good luck to everyone in their games.

12.01.2022 Another big week of tennis, with some good victories last weekend and on Wednesday evening. We have some strong clubs that are pushing hard to make finals in this winter pennants comp. This weekend, Div 1 (Paterson) and Div 8 are playing a top of the table clash at Mt Claremont and Crawley respectfully. Hopefully both teams can get up and consolidate top spot. The other games at Mt Claremont see both Div 4 and Div 5 hosting Nollamara. Our other teams are away, playing Mt Law...ley (Div 1 Iaconi), Peppermint Grove (Div 2), South Mandurah (Div 3) and Wembly Downs (Div 7). Good luck to all teams this weekend. We are gearing up for the end of the season now, with only one round of tennis left before finals! Many of our teams are playing for a spot in the finals this weekend, so make sure you get down and support them. ... Also, check out the UWA Tennis Club event on for this Saturday, where the two Div 1 teams are battling it out on the clay. 07.01.2022 An exciting development for UWA Tennis Club - our grass courts are getting a renovation! 3cm has been taken off the top, with plans for future top-dressing with 0.5cm of loam, once the grass starts regrowing. These are being done now to have 6 high quality Grass courts ready for Summer Pennants in October. We hope youre as excited as we are; please stay tuned for more updates!

Note: The clay courts at Mt Claremont are not able to be booked on Fridays due to the maintenance that occurs on the clay courts, or on Saturday afternoons, as pennants tennis starts after midday on Saturdays.
