19.01.2022 Just a little reminder of what real makeup looks like without retouch and filters. Yes it creases, yes it moves. Because that’s what makeup does. People have p...ores, they sweat, they talk, they smile and they laugh. Skin lives. Makeup will heat up and move. No it does not cover everything or make imperfections disappear like magic. There will always be fine lines , wrinkles, eye bags, scars, pimples. Yes there’s a limit to what you can do. I know the pressure is hard with social medias. I know clients have such high expectations nowadays because they are bombarded with perfect images that aren’t realistic. This is my annual post to remind you that you are a good makeup artist. I had to talk to myself more than a few times because I was comparing my work to what people posted and I didn’t understand why I could never get it to look so perfect. We absolutely have to stop doing that. First it’s not reality. 2nd this is the best way to kill our confidence and our creativity. Stop comparing yourself to unrealistic goals and spend that time working on your craft. We’re all doing our best and our best is good enough. (Ps. 18.01.2022 Dear Uzuri Clients, In light of the current increase of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, I would like to ensure you that your health and safety is my priority. I want to assure you that I have taken strict measures in order to maintain stringent Hygiene methods and Infection control measures as outline by The World Health Organisation (WHO).... Here is what I am doing to maintain a clean and safe environment for you : I have completed an Infection Control Training - COVID 19 course to keep in line with the management measures outlined by WHO. Single-use cups will be used for coffee, tea or water. All work stations will be sanitized after each client. A bottle of hand sanitizer will be available for use upon your arrival, I ask that all clients please use before taking a seat. Magazines will be removed but there is free WiFi for your entertainment pleasure. Social distancing will not be an issue as most of the time you will be alone in the salon with only me to keep you company . I will be reviewing cancellation policies to reflect the current situation and will be publishing that soon. However, I also require your cooperation as I ask all my clients who are unwell or show signs of a cough, runny nose, sneezing, to please reschedule your appointment until you have fully recovered. If you have come into contact with a suspected Coronavirus case or have travelled overseas in the last 14 days. Please call to reschedule. Maintaining a safe environment for all my valued clients is my top priority, but it is all our responsibility so lets flatten the curve.
