16.01.2022 Members of the VVMC Far Northern Chapter donate $500.00 to Mareeba Military Muster Committee Secretary towards the bronzed plaque soon to be unvieled within the... confines of the Mareeba Airport, on the 12th June 2020. The plaque, a project to officially honour and remember the crew of Royal Australian Air Force, No 100 Squadron, Beaufort A9-56. The crew have been missing since the 12th June 1942, and finally they will have their own deserving memorial from the airfield they left from. May they forever rest in peace and be remembered for they paid the supreme sacrifice. See more

11.01.2022 Very sad news coming through this morning. Sandy Harbutt, Undertaker in the movie Stone and long time friend and supporter to the VMC, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 last night in Wollongong. He will be well missed. R.I.P. Undertaker.

For those of you who are in, around or... know of someone in Cairns pease share this everywhere. It's a 2007 Husqvarna TE610 (rego 740TE), well set up for adventure riding and easily distinguishable. 05.01.2022 Congratulations Toby and Freya on becoming the Cairns and Tablelands FETCH Assistance Dog Coordinator. PLEASE LIKE AND SHARE OUR PAGE FETCH's moto is "...Friends Eager To Come Help". Toby will now be assisting both Veterans and civilians with medical and/or psychological issues and there puppies. Helping them with the training and progression to becoming a qualified assistance dog.
