23.01.2022 Congratulations to former VAFAUA Members Simon Meredith, Steve Piperno and Matt Dervan on their selection for the 2020 AFL Grand Final. With 1/3 of the Umpiring panel from the VAFAUA it proves that this is The Best Place to umpire footy and a testament to our development programs.

20.01.2022 The UA Womens Academy are walking to support mental health research. Did you know that 1 in 5 people experience symptoms of mental illness each year? We are really proud of the efforts of our girls so far, already hitting $1000 in the first 48 hours. However, we want to raise much much more in support of our fantastic group of female umpires who are a very tight group that are looking for many others to join in 2021! Rob also breaches into why the VAFA was his umpiring home early in his career, and the importance of coaching in the development of umpires at all levels. He also touches on the ability to thrive in pressure environments and the ways he deals with negative and constructive feedback in a positive way.
