25.01.2022 Valentine FC is pleased to announce our new Premier 9s-12s (SAP) Technical Director Stephen Gruber (left) alongside club Technical Director Adam Hughes (right). We also welcome our Premier (SAP) Coordintor Rebecca Nee. Stephen comes to the club with a wealth of coaching knowledge having coached teams across a variety of age groups including juniors, youth and assisting with seniors. He has previously been Director of Coaching at Maitland JFC and currently holds an FFA C Youth... Licence, FFA Talent ID Certificate, a Community Goalkeeper & Skills Acquisition Certificate and is enrolled to commence his FFA B Licence later this month. In Stephen’s own words, I am really excited to implement our SAP program and assist our qualified coaches to provide a quality football learning environment for all players. Under 9s to U12s is a critical phase of player development and by the completion of the program our players will possess a strong foundation of skills to allow them to make a smooth transition into NPL Youth football. At Valentine FC we are introducing an holistic approach to player development which includes a SAP program modelled off those used in elite academies as well as a nutrition plan. We are very fortunate to be supported by our extremely capable SAP Coordinator Rebecca Nee who works very hard behind the scenes. I feel privileged to be working under the guidance of Adam Hughes who is a former A-League and international player as well as our current first grade coach and TD. Trials are this Sunday and it is not too late to register. Just click the link below. Valentine FC SAP Trial Dates All SAP trials will be held on Sunday 8th November at Croudace Bay Complex 8:00-9:00 am - U9 & U10 9:00-10:00 am - U11 & U12 https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSdgXBl8PPTZJOjp5f/viewform

16.01.2022 Meet our U11 JDL Coach Craig Clinton Craig is one of the nicest people you will ever meet! He is passionate about developing players and supporting them throughout their soccer journey. Craig has always had a keen interest in sports, with soccer being at the top. He has played locally for most of his life with clubs such as Belmont, Belmont Tingira, Valentine and Warners Bay. He has also played with Orana Spurs in Dubbo and the Glen Innes Highlanders whilst teaching in these ...communities. Craig has over 20 years experience as a PDHPE teacher coaching at various levels and ages. Half of these teaching years has also been dedicated specifically to student wellbeing, which also plays an important part when coaching his JDL/SAP teams. He has coached a number of men’s teams to grand finals in Glen Innes and Valentine, assisted coaching at Valentine whilst at Uni and more recently has been coaching SAP at Valentine, U6’s to the U10’s. My main priority is always the players and making sure they understand what we are working towards individually and as a team. My goal for the team this year (as it is every year) will be for the team to have fun, enjoy themselves and build upon their current skill level to continue to play the game as they progress in their lives and always to the highest standard possible. Craig is an asset to our coaching team. Looking forward to a great season with your U11 JDL squad
