18.01.2022 Custom Foot orthotics Valentine Podiatry uses the Vertical Foot Alignment System to take a corrected, weight bearing mould. Traditionally an orthotic cast is taken with the patient off the ground, without the force of gravity. Our system allows for the position of the foot to be adjusted while the patient is standing- This means the feet are in their natural position, and therefore less modifications are required.... Before the orthotic is made, patients are able to try the mould in their shoes, and can provide feedback for greater comfort and support. The Vertical Foot Alignment System has won awards for its design, including on the ABC’s New Inventors program. Andrew trained with the developer in Sydney, before bringing the design to Valentine Podiatry.

14.01.2022 We are often asked if Medicare can be used for podiatry visits. If a patient has a chronic medical condition (such as diabetes or a muscle disorder), they may be eligible for GP management plan (EPC). These plans allow GPs to refer eligible patients for up to 5 visits to an allied health practitioner, such as a podiatrist. ... Most treatments at Valentine Podiatry can be bulk billed under a GP management plan. Treatments that require an additional cost will always be disclosed beforehand

12.01.2022 A partial nail avulsion is a procedure designed to permanently remove the side of a nail which is in-growing. The procedure involves numbing the toe with a loc...al anaesthetic. Once numb, the offending nail margin is split and removed. A chemical (Phenol) is used to cauterise the nail and prevent regrowth in the area. See more

08.01.2022 Use it or Lose it! Most private health benefits expire annually at the end of December. Unfortunately the health funds do not allow rollover of benefits they take a USE IT OR LOSE IT APPROACH. It is essential that if you have any required treatment that you be booked in and treatment completed before the end of the calendar year so you can maximize the use of your insurance benefits....
