Valerie Smith Stage School has been instilling a love of dance in many hundreds of our local ladies, lads and lasses for the past 29 years. While this is a very sad time for everyone involved with VSSS, we would like to thank everyone who has reached out over the past two weeks - your love and support has been extremely heartwarming. 16.01.2022 T H A N K Y O U My Dear Valerie Smith Stage School Students & Their Families Where do I start? I guess with our final Concerts which brought every emotion to all of us in Glen St Theatre on 7th December 2019. ... Firstly, THANK YOU to each and everyone who made that day so so special, not just for myself, but all behind the curtain and those in the auditorium sharing these unique performances to which everyone gave their heart and soul. VSSS has been my Life for the past 29 years and will be a hard act to follow!!! Sharing parts of families lives and they too sharing part of mine, and indeed making life long friendships with other families with the same desire to love running up the stairs to the studios, loving their classes and teachers, having fun as well as learning so much more than just how to master the style of dance in which they had enrolled, skills to take through life. The cards, messages, flowers and gifts are overwhelming. From the youngest to much older the words written are so precious to me and will be treasured. 02.01.2022 FUNDRAISING RAFFLE Thanks to the generosity of our VSSS family and friends we have raised an impressive $860 dollars for donation to Rural Aid Australia who support farmers and rural communities in times of drought, fire or flood. They are the organisation behind the Buy a Bale campaign, which I am sure is familiar to us all. For more information on Rural Aid or to read about their current programs and initiatives go to their website www.ruralaid.org.au Most of the prizes have been collected. The remaining prize recipients will be contacted directly.
