13.01.2022 The Vale View vegetable garden is thriving so much at the moment that the seniors had more than enough produce to cook up a storm on Friday, making mini quiches for the class to share.
11.01.2022 At Vale View we love to promote STEM and what better way than to launch rockets during science week. Students learnt about aerodynamics and design by creating their own cardboard rockets. We then launched these using a compressed air system to heights of up to 100m. There is a lot happening in the aerospace industry lately and it is activities like this that inspire this generation to pursue careers in STEM.
11.01.2022 This was our weather phenomenon as seen at school yesterday - a sun halo ! Be warned though, you should not look directly at the sun. Using an iPad or phone to record the image is a safer option.
11.01.2022 NATIONAL SCIENCE WEEK 15-23 AUGUST 2020 Students at Vale View State School have enjoyed celebrating National Science Week with lunchtime STEM activities. Creating, exploring and problem solving have stimulated some interesting conversations around activity centres. Senior students have also volunteered their time to assist, encourage the younger students and record the events. Thanks to the combined efforts of Mrs Eglington and Mr Wright, these Science and STEM activities have encouraged curiosity and exploration among students and a sense of community within the school.
