25.01.2022 A big warm welcome back and hello to all our Xmas guests. We hope everyone had a fantastic Xmas day and are looking forward to a huge check-in day today. A few storms about for the next few days but it wouldnt b Valla with no rain We have organised a water slide for the kids that kicks off at 10am today near the woolshed. The bar opens at 5pm and the bistro at 6pm.... Let the fun begin enjoy your day

25.01.2022 A big day at Valla today most guests checking out and the park will be full again this afternoon Thank you to all the guests leaving us today and have safe trip home. Today we have a colouring competition starting at 11:30 collect from reception.... The bistro will open again at 11:30 to 2 for lunch and again at 6pm for dinner The bar opens at 5pm. Tonight at 7pm we have mechanical surfboard in the woolshed.

24.01.2022 Good morning to all our guests on the last day of 2017 We had a big bingo night last night and congrats to all the winners. A big thank you to Tina for doing such a great job calling bingo! Today we have two movie sessions for the kids, 1pm and 5pm in the movie room.... Kids news years eve party kicks off at 5:30pm with a jumping castle, fairy floss, slushys and pop corn in the woolshed. Tonights New Years Eve entertainment is a 1970s feeling groovy theme with DJ Bisho so get out all your groovy gear and head to the woolshed at 7pm The bar opens at 5pm the bistro 11:30 to 2 and 6pm for dinner.

21.01.2022 Hi everyone! Heres a first for for the park, we have had about 5 earthquakes today the biggest around lunchtime with a magnitude of 4.2. All shook up at Valla no damage was done.

18.01.2022 Good morning all, hope everyone had a nice night after yesterdays huge storm . A big thank you to all the people that helped clear the fallen tree muchly appreciated !!! Some rain is predicted from lunch to late arvo but less than 5ml. The jumping castle will be back at 10am today in the woolshed, followed by plaster craft/ canvas painting at 12:30... The bar and bistro are closed today but reopens tomorrow for lunch and bingo tomorrow night. Dont forget about our two movies at 1pm and 5pm in the movie room. 14.01.2022 Dear Guests, Closing of Valla Beach Tourist Park December 2020 January 2021 The Park owners have reluctantly decided to keep the caravanning and camping sites closed for the period of December 2020 & January 2021. ... The decision was made due to the difficulties involved in ensuring the safety of our guests, residents and staff under the current Public Health requirements and proximity to the retirement village. A full refund will be made of all deposits held by Management. If you have a booking and have not yet received a call or email from us, please send an email to [email protected] and include your full name as per your booking, BSB number & Account number for your refund to be processed. We do understand that not being able to holiday at Valla Beach Tourist Park will be of great disappointment to you and many others at the end of what has been a very difficult year. 06.01.2022 Hey folks, a lot of people are freaking out about the earth tremors... 18 since Friday morning in the area... but heres a great explanation by Geoff Goldrick, ...who has a PhD in Earth Science that might help everyone understand whats happening and to feel more at ease: "We are located in the middle of a large tectonic plate and earthquakes are rare in such locations but given enough time even rare things are bound to happen. Often these intraplate quakes are isolated but sometimes they do come in swarms like we are currently experiencing. The different boundaries of our tectonic plate move at slightly different rates which builds stresses in the plate. These stresses are relieved by quakes which are movements of the earth along a fault. However sometimes the movement in one place can increase the stress somewhere else triggering another quake. This may in turn increase the stress somewhere else and so on which results in a cluster of quakes until the stress works itself out and everything settles down. The good news is that usually these events are low magnitude but people should be aware that larger magnitude quakes like the Newcastle quake can occur so it doesnt hurt to know what to do. If you are inside get under something solid. If youre outside move into an open area. But most of all relax. The risk is extremely low.
