25.01.2022 I believe that's what they call a close call.

24.01.2022 I do enjoy water infrastructure projects. It's not Snowy2, but it's going to make high density grazing heaps easier. First paddock done. Woooohooo.

23.01.2022 Found on the main road. Let me know if they're yours.

22.01.2022 Love it. High fire danger, very high UV risk, thunderstorms, 90% chance of rain, and late snow.

18.01.2022 Proof of concept modified portable trough ready to roll. If it works I'll be able to pull this around by hand, no machinery required. That'll be step 1 of improving water infrastructure for the cattle.

18.01.2022 'Morning. Remember how noisy the "Hungry Hippos" game is?

14.01.2022 First portable trough point installed.

14.01.2022 Broad beans at the roadside... $6/kg

13.01.2022 Spring... Time of plenty. She's standing full height.

11.01.2022 'Morning. Doing a bit of scenic fencing.

08.01.2022 Just in case anyone thinks they're having a bad day.

05.01.2022 When you have to run the quad bike along the fence line to give the cattle a chance of seeing it. This is 6 months recovery. And snake gaiters - I've nearly trodden on 3 so far this season.

04.01.2022 No wonder this week's felt a bit like a fever dream version of groundhog day. Same paddock for 5 days, broken into 19 individual cells. The litter in the foreground is why - trying to get it pressed onto the ground before it gets eaten out, with stock density equivalent of around 1000 head per hectare. Basically trying to get the soil surface working like a compost pile. It looks like there's a fair bit of grass left behind, but this paddock had stems brushing my face as I walked through it, prior to grazing.

01.01.2022 High density grazing (~1000 head/Ha) - before and after in one pic.
