15.01.2022 Harrington Breakwall Walk (TTW) It is 10am on a mild Tuesday morning, and TTW (Transition to Work) Supervisor, Paul Wright, had decided to drive his group out to Harrington for a brisk 30 minute walk along the Breakwall. This group usually does these outings before heading to VSFL (Valley Skills for Life) for a bit at the gym. To sum it up the trek is very scenic and it’s a common place for fishermen, photographers and runners. Harrington Breakwall is well known for being... Manning River’s gateway to the Pacific Ocean. The main wall stretches from Beach Street for almost 3 kilometres to Manning Point, giving you a great view in the process. By the time the team had gotten back the bus, some of us had taken great shots of the scenery or have decided to run along the distance as a way of exercise. 03.01.2022 New stock!! Our Valley Bees business has done some exceptional work over the last 12 months. Although this year has been fantastic for rain and weather, last year was incredibly different. We went from one of the worst droughts we had seen, into some of the worst fires we have ever seen. Our local Bees took heavy losses. With limited food available due to the drought, then almost no food after the fires, the hives that were not destroyed took a long time to recover. We decide...d not to harvest our honey and let all of our bees recover. Hive health is our highest priority and our apiarist(beekeeper) and Valley Bees manager Nigel Powell and his team saw us through some really dire times. It was lovely to see the buzz... when the new shipment of stock arrived last week. We have started harvesting honey again and now we have a fully stocked store to help get our local bees to flourish once again. We are so proud of the work our Valley Bees team does, against all odds that team is back on track for a huge year.
