22.01.2022 Myles & Louise Light- President & secretary Louise Light has a great deal of knowledge to bring to the club. Louise was a former Olympic elite squad member for Sydney 2000 and World equestrian games 2002 ,3 x Australian representative in the sport of Eventing and competed up to 5-star 3DE level. Since the early 2003 Louise has concentrated on Showjumping, now regularly competing with her team of showjumpers all over the east coast and west of the great divide and up to sout...h east qld. The days are busy with a strict schedule of many hats , managing her team of showjumpers, Drives for a local Bus company BNA buses doing school route service , helps run the property, teaches keen students under the banner of Louise Light Equestrian, is a mum to Harrison, wife to Myles and helps run the commercial breeding herd of cattle. Louise’s passion for showjumping has led to the incorporation of the Valley & Rivers Showjumping, the idea is to encourage the uniqueness of showjumping and how amazing the sport can be at all levels. The long-term goal is to see club evolve into a major showjumping event on the calendar to bring people to the Clarence Valley. Myles Light A local by the standards of the Clarence Valley being born and breed here, has been an active member in the local pony clubs in his youth, and campdrafting events. Myles is bringing a depth of knowledge to the club with his skills of jack of all trades being a qualified carpenter and many years of experience in the earthmoving industry. He currently works as a grader operator at Clarence valley council and has years of experience with ground conditions and quality. He will be helping maintain the ring for us to use with the aerator that has just been purchased by Himself and Louise. Myles also runs his own slashing contracting business which does keep him busy on other weekends. Myles is a rider himself and competes regularly up to 1 m with his horses. Myles is keen to pursue course building so eventually will gain a ticket to do this through the club.
